Terms of Service

You are entitled to a confidential relationship with Ex Spouse Communications. All email exchanges are encrypted in order to protect your privacy. You should know that in certain situations I am required by law to reveal information to other persons or agencies. I may do this without your permission. These situations are as follows: a) if you threaten grave bodily harm or death to another person, I am required by law to inform the intended victim and appropriate law enforcement agencies; b) if you mention instances of child or dependent adult abuse to me I am required to report such instances to proper authorities; c) if a court of law (not an attorney) issues a legitimate subpoena, I have to provide the information specifically described in the subpoena. In addition, I may choose to breach confidentiality if you are gravely dangerous to yourself. Ex Spouse Communications is not psychotherapy. Any clients who need psychotherapeutic services will be encouraged to seek treatment.

All documents edited or coached by Ex Spouse Communications will be sent back to you (the client) to decide if and to whom they will be sent. Any legal documents or court orders regarding custody will supersede documents prepared by Ex Spouse Communications. Joan Pechauer or Ex Spouse Communications does not take any responsibility for negative outcomes due to electronic or verbal exchanges with an ex spouse. Ex Spouse Communications has the right to decline service to anyone.

Payment will be made through the secure service on the website. You will be billed in 15 minute increments for phone and/or electronic coaching/editing.
